First Seventh-Day Adventist Church of White Plains
Delegating responsibility to each member in order to fulfill God’s calling to serve Him according to one's spiritual gifts. Our leaders and members are committed to the development of the church.
That Sabbath worship be the optimum edification experience for all and the summit of the week’s spiritual experience.
That members develop ties of wholesome fraternity for social and spiritual nurturing and for caring for the needs and well-being of each other.
That each member lives his/her faith with consecration, joy, dynamism, enthusiasm, develops a life of prayer, and freely participates in the joy of witnessing.
That all members and visitors have access to God’s eternal plan of salvation through biblical instruction, especially to the three angels messages and the prophetic understanding of the Books of Daniel and Revelation.
That members feel empowered to observe and report on the anomalies within the infrastructure to ensure the maintenance of a safe and inviting worship environment for the protection of everyone.
That as Disciples of Christ, our cycle of mission is adapted to the needs of the church and community.
That members notice each absentee or regular visitor and maintain contact with them and that everyone is welcomed and warmly received.
Four Pillars for
1. Doctrine: Coming together for the “teachings” of Christ by the apostles.
2. Fellowship: “fraternity” between members, just like the fraternity with Christ.
3. Breaking of bread: sharing meals with the simplicity and joy of our hearts.
4. Prayers: a life of prayer by faith in God and by praising and thanksgiving.
